Each class emphasizes developing accuracy in patchwork piecing including: Setting a 1/4" seam guide, pressing techniques, minimum of two assembly methods per patchwork unit, color and contrast use, try before you buy tools, notions and rulers.
The course is suitable for the novice with many tips to keep the interest of beginner / intermediate quilters. No prior quilting experience is required but students must know how to operate a sewing machine.
Students my use their own machine or rent one of the Stash's. You can bring your own fabric to use and keep the blocks or use Stash fabric and we will use them for charity quilts. Students must also have basic sewing supplies including scissors, thread, rotary cutter and cutting mat.
One class will be offered each month with different times. Cost is $25 each or you can purchase the entire series for $175 to receive one class free. Pre Registration is required. Call the Stash to reserve your spots. A minimum of 3 students / maximum of 6 for each class is required. We plan on recording the classes so you can go back and watch them - included with the fee. We also are going to try to Skype or virtual learning.
